Mr. Martin is responsible for all commercial and operational activities of the Kinder Morgan Natural Gas Pipelines Group, which encompasses approximately 25,000 miles of pipeline, 22 billion cubic feet (Bcf) per day of transportation capacity and about 400 Bcf of working gas storage capacity. Tom formerly presided over the Texas Intrastate Pipelines Group, which is currently comprised of approximately 6,000 miles of pipeline with a peak day sales and transport capacity of about 5 Bcf per day and approximately 120 Bcf of natural gas storage capacity. He joined Kinder Morgan as Vice President of Optimization and Storage in the Texas Intrastate Pipelines Group in 2003 and was named president of the group in 2005. Mr. Martin has 20 years of commercial experience in the Texas and East Coast markets. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M University and is a registered Certified Public Accountant.
Kinder Morgan owns an interest in or operates approximately 37,000 miles of pipelines that transport primarily natural gas, refined petroleum products, CO2 and crude oil; and 180 terminals that store, transfer and handle such products as gasoline, ethanol, coal, petroleum coke and steel. Kinder Morgan, Inc. owns the general partner interest of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners. Kinder Morgan Management is a limited liability company and its only significant assets are the partnership units it owns in KMP.
