Richard D. Kinderis Chairman and CEO of Kinder Morgan, one of the largest pipeline transportation and energy storage companies in North America. The Kinder Morgan companies include Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP), Kinder Morgan Management, LLC (NYSE: KMR) and Kinder Morgan, Inc, a private entity. Through his leadership, Kinder Morgan has grown from a small company with 150 employees and an enterprise value of $325 million in February 1997 to an organization with approximately 8,000 employees and an enterprise value of over $29 billion today. Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, one of the largest publicly traded pipeline limited partnerships in the United States, has delivered a compound annual return of 27 percent to its unitholders. Mr. Kinder received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Missouri and served in Vietnam as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He is a life trustee of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. Kinder Morgan owns an interest in or operates approximately 37,000 miles of pipelines that transport primarily natural gas, refined petroleum products, CO2 and crude oil; and 180 terminals that store, transfer and handle such products as gasoline, ethanol, coal, petroleum coke and steel.
