Patrick Bourgoyne is Vice President, Internal Audit, of Kinder Morgan, one of the largest pipeline transportation and energy storage companies in North America.  The Kinder Morgan companies include Kinder Morgan, Inc. (NYSE: KMI), Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP) and Kinder Morgan Management, LLC (NYSE: KMR).

Mr. Bourgoyne’s responsibilities include implementing internal audit strategy, monitoring Kinder Morgan’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and administering the company’s confidential ethics hotline.  In addition, he serves as a liaison between Kinder Morgan and its external auditor.

Mr. Bourgoyne, who has more than 12 years of internal audit experience, joined the company in 2004 as Manager, Internal Audit.  Prior to his tenure at Kinder Morgan, Mr. Bourgoyne was a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche and a Manager at Arthur Andersen in the Internal Audit and Risk Consulting practices.

Mr. Bourgoyne holds both a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University.  Mr. Bourgoyne is also a graduate of the LSU Center for Internal Audit.

Kinder Morgan owns an interest in or operates more than 38,000 miles of pipelines that transport primarily natural gas, refined petroleum products, CO2 and crude oil; and approximately 180 terminals that store, transfer and handle such products as gasoline, ethanol, coal, petroleum coke and steel. Kinder Morgan, Inc. owns the general partner interest of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners. Kinder Morgan Management is a limited liability company and its only significant assets are the partnership units it owns in KMP. Combined, Kinder Morgan has an enterprise value of approximately $65 billion.
